A woman called police in Lone Oak, Kentucky at 4 a.m. Saturday, telling them that she was hiding in her closet and that someone had broken into her home.
Moments later, the burglar entered the woman’s bedroom and opened the closet door — but she was waiting with a loaded pistol.
The suspect fled the home and was tackled by police in a nearby cornfield, the West Kentucky Star reported.
Now for the more terrifying part.
Police searched the home of the suspect, 42-year-old convicted felon Jon M. Mullins, and found a veritable terrorist’s arsenal: “multiple homemade improvised explosive devices including types of pipe bombs, literature on the making of bombs and IED’s, Kevlar bulletproof vests, ammunition, tear gas, and other related items,” the West Kentucky Star reported.
