The world of tech has been getting smarter with smartphones, smart watches and now smart… guns? It has finally come to light: a pistol that only fires when you are wearing a certain watch.
According Armatix, the manufacturer:
Each watch is encoded with an electronic chip that interacts with the gun.
It is reported that the gun itself is not the best option when it comes to getting the best bang for the buck. The iP1 pistol is a .22 LR caliber gun that hold 10 rounds with a price tag of $1,399. The watch is also pricey, $399, and is sold separately. It comes equipped with time-controlled weapon deactivation and interchangeable straps, power supply for 5,000 rounds or a minimum of one year standby, depending on operation.
