“Samantha Cart was returning home from walking her dog early Tuesday morning in Avondale, Alabama, when an intruder burst through the door before she was able to lock it.
Fortunately, her husband, Caleb, was asleep inside — with a shotgun at his disposal.
“My arms were pinned under me. There’s nothing I can do to him. I thought if I just keep screaming and screaming Caleb is going to come in here,” Samantha told WVTM-TV.
Caleb Cart said he woke up to the door slamming and his wife screaming. He jumped out of bed, opened the bedroom door and saw the intruder on lying on top of Samantha in the hallway.”
