Dale Pilat is a friend of ours here at The Shooters Hangout and I can tell you that he is a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment!
If we want to stop the erosion of our gun rights in California then we have to start electing pro 2nd Amendment politicians. This is your opportunity!
Swing by for a few minutes Wednesday the 14th and shake Dale’s hand and allow him to tell you what his plans are to strengthen north county and restore your gun rights.

ABOUT DALE: VOICE OF, BY, AND FOR THE PEOPLE
As a California native, Dale was raised and educated right here in the Golden State. Both during and after graduating high school, Dale began his career as a construction worker. After many years of hard work, dedication and perseverance, Dale advanced to upper management in the construction field. Although Dale was enjoying a great career, after the terrorist attack on September 11th, 2001, Dale felt compelled to serve the nation and protect families across our Country by enlisting in the U.S. Army. After intensive training as a military police officer Dale returned to California, was stationed in Sacramento where he worked with the Department of Justice, helping to secure America’s southern border. While on the border as a reconnaissance Specialist with the Counter Drug Unit of the Army National Guard, Dale was able to eliminate the shipment of many illegal and dangerous narcotics from hitting the streets of our Nation.
As soon as he was able, Dale volunteered to deploy to a combat zone located along the Afghanistan / Pakistan border. From 2010 – 2011, Dale fought alongside the 101st Airborne Division participating in combat patrols, air assaults on terrorist positions. Dale worked with his peers training Afghanistan Security Forces. Unfortunately Dale’s mission in the Middle East was cut short due to an injury he sustained to his neck and was airlifted to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany where he was treated for his injuries. After several weeks of medical treatment and supervision Dale was released and transferred back to California where he underwent several surgeries and rehabilitation before finally being officially medically retired in 2015.
For his service to our Nation Dale received many awards including the Combat Action Badge and US Army commendation medal for meritorious service and outstanding performance during his time in combat. For excellence in devotion to his duty and exhibiting superior performance Dale was also awarded the US Army Achievement Medal in both 2008 and 2011.
After being released from the military, Dale was appointed by the Mayor Judy Ritter to serve the citizens of Vista on the Sales Tax Oversight Committee and the Public Safety Committee. Dale has devoted time to many local veteran projects, such as the Wounded Warriors project, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Dale loves working with our local homeless families transforming lives partnering with Solutions for Change who provide a complete and sustainable approach to homelessness driven by personal accountability.
Dale is happily married to his wife Phyllis and together has six children and three grandchildren; they are proud Vista residents and homeowners. Dale would be honored to have your support and vote in November 2016 as he seeks to represent you on the Vista City Council by Putting the People Back in Charge.
